About the Author
An Australian-American writer, Suelette Dreyfus was educated in the UK, US and Australia. She studied at Oxford University and Columbia University in New York, where she won the prestigious Teichmann Prize for excellence and originality in writing. She
also holds a
PhD. As a journalist on Australia's largest selling newspaper, she worked as a crime and courts reporter before becoming an independent feature writer. She is a regular contributor to respected broadsheets such as The
Independent (UK) and The Age (Australia), and radio programmes such as
Late Night Live with Phillip Adams (ABC). She has combined her background as a professional journalist and her academic research skills to produce Underground. She spends much of her time traveling and is currently writing another
technology related book.
