From: Real Article Pvt Rec'd To: Brett Macmillan Msg #247, 29-Mar-89 11:18am Subject: Re: Tony Comreco, Fitzgerald and Gill are usually connected together because of what The Snowman used to alledge - i.e. that his Daddy, big Stuart Gill, worked WITH Fitzgerald in the field of hacker-hunting. According to him, they even shared an office (Fitzgerald's was the smaller part, naturally!) It was soon after this that HackWatch was mentioned, and Snowman (although he never actually came out and said "this is fact") always intimated that the two companies were very closely connected. It seems to be fact enough that at one time, anyway, Gill and Fitzgerald DID actually work together - whether as Computer Security consultants or hacker-hunters - to link the two together.... The office that Snowman referred to (where S.G. and Fitzy worked together) was supposedly in the city - Queen Street, to be precise. The office, by the time we went looking, did not exist. PRIVATE E-Mail Select: From: Real Article Pvt Rec'd To: Brett Macmillan Msg #246, 29-Mar-89 10:46am Subject: Re: Tony Firstly, perhaps I should explain about XXXX's aversion to the expression "slut" (I might add that I don't particularly like the expression myself - for the same reasons!) Going back a few years - probably before your time on the boards, there was quite a lot of ill-feeling between Blue Thunder and myself - mainly on his part, as I just tended to ignore the idiot. At the time when he was in cahoots with our fishy friend, we recieved, as I think we told you on Monday, various "anonymous" phone calls and messages on AHUBBS referring to me as a "slut", amongst many other things, and casting doubts on YYYYYY's ancestry and sexual inclinations... these inferences were reinforced by the watery one, and it caused quite a lot of tension in the family and anxiety on the part of the children. We'd even been warned to get the kids out of the house at night, if we wanted them to stay alive! After hearing some of the rumours floating around about your alledged part in the downfall of P.I. etc., and then your untimely reply to XXXX's puzzle question, AND knowing that Gill was back playing his little games YET AGAIN (is there no getting rid of the creep?!) - can you wonder that our paranoia got the better of us? Anyway, that's the reason we both jumped on you so hard, and probably why Julian was inclined to be so hostile - you must admit, it wasn't in the best possible taste for the General Public section of the board! Now... Tony Warren... yes, quite definately positive that the messages we saw, written in Gill's style (may even have been dictated, or pre-written) were from a person calling themselves "Tony Warren" - there were a few other ones, too, all obviously by the same person, but under different pseudonyms - not surprising, when you know that Forbes was apparently as "under the thumb" as Craig Bowen seemes to have been. (Craig Bowen, by the way, is not his real name, but I presume you already knew that) I can't remember most of the other names off-hand, but I guess we could easily check back though our logs (yes, we logged EVERYTHING!) and find out for you if it's important. Item of maybe interest. His little side-kick, Paul Seal, often used to log in for him... the messages and message content were the same, but spelling and punctuation different (no spaces between the full stop and the next word, etc.) Also, one used to use an 80 column comms packet on (I think) a 128 - the other used 40 columns on a C-64. Not terribly impressive for a so-called Computer Security Expert (top of his field!) to have to stoop to using a C-64! (but when he was calling from "Daddy's office", it was the 80 column 128.... The messages that P.S. used to leave were usually in the name of The Snowman, and usually followed by "yes yes" messages from himself (The Falcon). So - how easy would it be to leave a message in the name of Tony Warren, followed by sad little messages ("we lost Andrew on Tuesday night...") from The Falcon? (after the "demise" of The Snowman) Would like to speak to you further about this alledged sexual assult on whoever it was - there is a similarity in modus operandi there, too! Just out of interest, how does one go about checking to see if you are a memeber of the Liberal Party or not? I rang them yesterday, and was told that the information was "too personal to give out"... Bye for now, Regards, ..... .....The REAL ARTICLE. (Sysop) *** This is a reply to #245.
